377 Restoration Report

Posted on January 11, 2020January 11, 2020 by ctpg

One of the younger vehicles in the group is a Dennis Dart (Pointer bodied). These were very popular with operators and in fact are still in use today. This bus is currently under restoration with the CTPG. There are a number of mechanical / bodywork tasks being carried out on it in the museum.

We are looking to fix the bodywork on the vehicle (replacing all the skirt panels with new ones). This task is made slightly harder with problems with the fixings.

We are looking to fix an oil leak in the engine. As part of doing this task the radiator has had to be taken off along with a number of other engine components.

The bus will also be given a good service. As part of that new batteries have been fitted.
