856 RETURNS TO BARRY

Posted on April 13, 2016July 15, 2019 by Mike

WW 856 returned to Barry Depot on Tuesday 13th April following an extensive restoration that has taken over a decade, however as can be seen the quality of the work is outstanding. In return our Bruce bodied AEC Regal Bedwas 7 has gone to TDC in Lydney for some remedial work and repanelling, we hope to see it back a bit quicker than 856 took from purchase to this point.  Credit is given to our Honorary President Lyndon Rees for his support in taking the shell of a bus to this point and to all the other members of the CTPG who supported the bus during its long restoration.  856 still requires some electrical work before it can return to the road however we hope this could occur during 2016.
