Cardiff 267 arrives

Posted on May 23, 2015July 15, 2019 by Alex

Tuesday 19th May saw the arrival of J267UDW into further preservation with the CTPG at Barry after a long journey from Kent following acquisition from it’s former owner – Neil Gardner. It’s current condition is a testament to the care and effort he put into restoring this vehicle to it’s former glory. After leaving Cardiff Bus it worked for an operator in Crewe on rail replacement and schools. It ended it’s days in public service with Dorset Sprinter operating their X5 service between Southampton and Bournemouth alongside fellow preserved lynx 262.
It’s seen here over the pits at the CTPG’s Barry museum in preparation for it’s imminent MOT test. It’s expected that this vehicle will run at the Barry Festival of Transport 2015.
