Info
Western Welsh Eastern Coach Works Leyland PS1. In service from August 1947 until 1960. After a lengthy time spent mostly in Scotland at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum where the rebuild was started by Tam Loggie of Vintage Vehicle Restorations where the body frame and panels were built and fitted. After encountering a long delay Tam was unable to finish the job. The vehicle then returned to us at Barry Depot, unfinished. It was completed in TDC, Lydney. This project is dedicated to the memory of Ivor Gray (General Manager 1962-71) and his brother Leslie Gray, (Assistant Chief Engineer 1953 – 69). Both played various leading roles with the Western Welsh Omnibus Company over many many years and contributed to making it the premier bus company in Wales.
