Lockdown Update

We have not completely stopped as a result of COVID. Following a set of guidelines we have been able to achieve the following:

OTG Update

OTG has been away at Reliance Bus Works for mechanical attention initially for a head gasket repair but which turned into a full engine rebuild due to problems found with the original block, AEC 505’s are becoming rare without problems. Below is a photo of the vehicle returning to the depot, piloted by Martyn Hearson from RBW shown below on the left.

Cardiff & South Wales Trolleybus Project Come To Barry

We are pleased to welcome the CSWTP and their two unique trolleybuses to the Depot. Their single & double deck trolleybuses are now resident at Barry, Cardiff 243 is the last single deck trolleybus built for the UK and 262 carries a Bruce of Cardiff body. Below are 2 photos of 243 arriving at the depot:
