50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SEVERN BRIDGE

Posted on March 27, 2016July 15, 2019 by Mike

The original Severn Bridge was opened on Sat 8 Sept 1966 and a day later the Red&White and Bristol Omnibus Co started running their 300/301 Cardiff- Bristol routes over the new bridge.
On Saturday 10 Sept at Beachley (Old Ferry Inn) there will be a gathering of relevant buses and coaches, the plan is to include a run/cavalcade of preserved Red&White, Western Welsh and BOC buses/coaches over the bridge.
