Cardiff Transport Preservation Group

invites you to

"look in the loft", in the garage, under the stairs or anywhere else !f

Like any voluntary organization we need help run our preservation group, if you'd like to help and you have any items of local transport interest which you would like to contribute to our museum collection, then please let us know.  Bring them along to The Bus Depot, at Broad Street, Barry on Fridays and Saturdays or email us at postmaster@ctpg.co.uk or by phone to Mike Taylor on 07796-265229

items needed for our buses and for public display are:

bus destination blinds, representing any South Wales operator but particularly Cardiff Corporation, Western Welsh and Red & White Services.  Also old Timetables from any operator and any transport memorabilia of local interest.

We also from time to time have transport collectable items for sale and have a large selection of bus and trolleybus photographs always on hand.  These are normally on sale at our two main heritage vehicle rallies held in June and September (see our events calendar) and at other events we may attend.

Needed urgently: one Guy Indian Chief's head mascot to fit the water filler flap of our open top Guy Arab MkV ex Cardiff ABO434B to adorn our bus for the coming rally season.  These items were often taken for souvenirs by garage staff and enthusiasts alike, do you have one you could offer us?

Items for sale:  From time to time we have mechanical and body spares available to groups and individuals, to keep their prized possessions running.  We will advertise our surplus items here when available.

remember, anything from, buttons and badges, to bus parts, we are interested.

"look in the loft" will be updated regularly so remember to, "look in the loft"
