above: In the Crimson Lake & Cream livery of Cardiff Corporation Tramways is Tony Thomas' scale replica of a Cardiff tramcar number 37. A very similar "Horsfield" tramcar, number 11 undertook the very last passenger journey on route 1 from Whitchurch Road to St.Mary Street on the 20th February 1950. We thank Tony for sending us this photograph of his replica car to mark the 60th anniversary of this Cardiff transport milestone. |
