'Bus and Coach Wales 2007'
- We are pleased to announce
the date of the third annual Merthyr transport rally organized by
Cardiff Transport Preservation Group in association with Merthyr Tydfil
County Borough Council, Merthyr Tydfil College and sponsored by 'Sixty-Sixty
Coaches' to be known as, 'Bus
and Coach Wales 2007', which will incorporate 'Merthyr Tydfil Vintage Bus
Running Day' and is scheduled
for Sunday 9th September 2007
- Building
on the success of our previous events at Merthyr it will again be the chosen venue for the
2007 event. Free bus services
will be provided to the local attractions of, The Brecon Mountain Railway
and to The Rhymney Brewery where guided tours will be
available. A free town circular bus service will also link Merthyr
Tydfil railway station with the bus station adjacent to the rally
site. Thanks must go to Merthyr
Tydfil County Borough Council, Merthyr Tydfil College for allowing the use of the whole college car
park and facilities and also to 'Sixty-Sixty' for
it's sponsorship of this event. It is hoped to provide an even bigger
and better rally than last year with many more exhibits from our own area
and beyond. To this end entry forms will be available to any
owners or groups having suitable vehicles for display. So why not
join us at Merthyr in 2007. Entry forms are available from,
